This series of monoprints is made up of bits and pieces of other projects, abstractions created from a variety of strokes and textures that read together without much conscious thought. This kind of image makes itself and I do the physical labor and deal with the materials. It doesn’t get much more fun than that. To arrive at this group of 6 images many prints are made and discarded. This is an intuitive process backed by skill, experience and a belief that eventually something will work.
I became curious about knitting with wire and creating elements that would be incorporated in prints. I used these elements in other projects (see Holiday Edition 2024). Knitting with wire is awkward.
Each print is 8 x 6 inches.
