This series of monoprints is titled International Style in reference to modernity and the Bauhaus.
It’s a series of monoprints all printed from the same plate on various types of paper and with inking specific to the individual impression. When they are viewed together there is a rhythm to the piece as a whole which holds my attention. I’m satisfied with the configuration. They could be reconfigured, but this seemed to me to be the best solution at the time. More could be made and added, but the plate is gone so that would be a matter of recutting the plate. It would be an approximation of the original because that is always what happens when making copies of something. Things change.
Printed in 2019/titled and assembled in 2024. Each print is 13 x 10 inches.
