This project is the holiday card I sent to friends in 2024. I try to design a new card every year. Usually, each card is a traditional print made from a single plate, with one consistent image reproduced as a conventional edition.
This year, however, I took a different approach. Every card is a monotype—unique, yet connected through shared elements and a color palette that evokes the Christmas season. The joke is in the title: although it's called an edition, it isn't an edition at all, but rather a series of one-of-a-kind prints.
These cards serve as my holiday gift: an opportunity to share both the experience of art and a handmade object created in the studio and sent to friends in celebration of the season.
Each card is 6 x 4 inches.
